Katie Williams was the first girl to have a paper route in her upstate New York hometown. This early display of determination and independence was a sign of the many groundbreaking endeavors to follow. At just 17, she embarked on a bike trip to Nova Scotia, and later, she spent two weeks snowshoeing in the Adirondack Mountains, amidst subzero temperatures.

Katie Williams graduated from Cornell University in 1983 with a degree in Economics, In 1987, she founded Williams Television Time, Inc, becoming the first woman to own a Direct to Consumer TV marketing agency. She didn’t stop there; just five years later, she started her new company, Williams Worldwide Television, which grew into one of the largest women-owned businesses in Los Angeles.

Known for her skills in addressing consumer problems with captivating storytelling, Katie received numerous awards in cable TV, satellite media, and online marketing, including a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Electronic Retailing Association in 2011. Beyond her business achievements, Katie is most proud of mentoring a diverse group of individuals, helping them start successful businesses.
